Ballistics, without the chaff.
Twelve calculators that share your shot profile. Pick a pellet from the database, dial in your velocity, and every tool below answers in step. Open any tile for sliders, charts, and the substituted formula.

Every tile shows a working calculator at a glance. Click Open full view for sliders, charts, and the substituted formula. Edits flow back to the shot profile so the next tile picks up where you left off.
Every projectile actually on a U.S. shelf.
A working catalog of 715 pellets and slugs from 40 manufacturers across 12 calibers.

How the math (and the database) was assembled
Energy & velocity
FPE uses the standard 450,240 divisor (Pyramyd's longstanding convention). Velocity-from-energy is its inverse. Airsoft uses the SI form J = ½mv² because airsoft regulations are written in joules, not foot-pounds.
Ballistic coefficient
Two-gate chronograph method via the log-decay form BC = -d / (8000 × ln(V_far/V_near)) — the same identity behind Pyramyd's BC widget and Steve_in_NC's published table. Downrange velocity uses the matching exponential V = V₀ × e^(-d/(8000·BC)).
Wind & angles
Wind drift integrates time-of-flight via Simpson's rule, then applies Didion's lag-time identity. Angled-shot uses the Rifleman's Rule (cos α) — accurate for airgun-relevant slope ranges; long-range firearm shooters need the improved variant.
Database sourcing
715 unique projectiles compiled from sixteen U.S. retailers including Pyramyd AIR, Airgun Depot, AirGun Tactical, Griffin Airgun Ammo, The Pellet Shop, TalonAirguns, ALCO Bullets, Utah Airguns, plus manufacturer pages, all with as-of dates. Pricing reflects the source page at capture time and may have changed. Ballistic coefficients are manufacturer-published or HAM-tested where available — verify with a chrony.
Hunting FPE bands
The "ethical game band" on each product follows Pyramyd's hunting guide: ~8 FPE for very small pests under 2 lb, ~10 FPE for small game 2–20 lb, ~35 FPE for medium predators, ~80 FPE for medium game, ~150 FPE for large game, and 500+ FPE for very large quarry. These are floors, not licenses — placement matters more than energy.
What this isn't
A trajectory drop solver, a recoil calculator, a humidity/altitude corrector, or a lawyer. For long-range hold-overs use a proper ballistic solver like Strelok or ChairGun. For legality, check the U.S. Airgun Law & Hunting Map for your state.
Reference tools, not gospel.
These calculators model ballistics with widely-used identities; they are not a substitute for a chronograph or live-fire confirmation at distance. Terminal-effect predictions are educational only — humane harvest depends on shot placement, animal size and posture, and pellet construction, not just kinetic energy. Local airgun law varies; check the U.S. Airgun Law & Hunting Map before you hunt.
