Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Plink Exchange (“we”, “us”) operates plinkexchange.com — legal maps, directories, ballistics tools, the Virtual Locker, and member features (together, the “Services”). We are a business; these Terms are a contract between you and us. By creating an account or using the Services you accept them.

2. Accounts

• You must be at least 13 to use the site and at least 18 to use any buying or selling feature. Listing anything for sale requires an explicit 18+ confirmation.
• Give us accurate information and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• One person per account. We may reclaim usernames that impersonate others or squat on brands.

3. Free services

Our reference tools — maps, directories, ballistics, FAQs, and the Virtual Locker — are free, and free things remain free. We plan to add optional, traditional marketplace services in the future (for example payment processing or promoted listings) and to charge a transaction fee on those services only, disclosed clearly before you use them. Today we charge nothing and take no cut of member sales.

4. Your locker & your content

• Everything you put in your locker stays yours. You give us a limited license to store it, process it (for example resizing photos), and display it — privately to you, and publicly only where you chose to publish it (public profile, shared entries, listings, reviews, range-shared photos).
• Serial numbers are encrypted and never shown to anyone but you. See the Privacy Policy.
• Only upload content you have the right to share. No unlawful, deceptive, or infringing content.

5. Community content (reviews, comments, photos)

• Write about your genuine experience. No fake reviews, review trading, or rating manipulation — of products, ranges, or other members.
• We may moderate: community reports can temporarily hide content, and our moderators may hide, restore, or remove content and accounts to keep the community honest and lawful.

6. Listings & member-to-member sales

• We are not a party to any sale. Listings, conversations, payment, shipping, and transfer are arranged directly between members. We do not hold funds, process payments, broker, or take a fee on member sales today.
• Payments are peer-to-peer. Payment methods and checkout links on a listing belong to the seller and their payment processor. Do your own diligence before sending anyone money; prefer payment methods with buyer protection.
• The law is on you. Airgun ownership, sales, shipping, and transfer rules vary by country, state, and city. Buyers and sellers are each responsible for complying with all applicable laws, including age limits and shipping restrictions. Our legal maps and in-listing guidance are a starting point, not a green light.
• Airguns only. No firearms as legally defined in your jurisdiction, no restricted or converted items, nothing you may not lawfully sell. US-only for now: creating and viewing listings is limited to US members.
• Listings must be accurate — condition, defects, and what's included. We may remove listings that look deceptive, unlawful, or reported by the community, and may suspend selling privileges (see section 7).
• Tell us how it went: reporting whether an item sold is voluntary and free — it helps us know the marketplace is working. There is no fee either way.

7. Ratings & enforcement

• After a listing conversation, buyers and sellers can rate each other. Ratings must reflect real interactions.
• Sustained low ratings can trigger a human review, suspend selling privileges, or suspend an account entirely. Automatic suspensions are always queued for human review, and you can contact info@plinkexchange.com to appeal.

8. Legal information is not legal advice

Our maps, advisories, and guidance summarize public sources. They can be outdated, incomplete, or wrong, and they are not legal advice. Verify current law with official sources or a lawyer before acting.

9. Acceptable use

• No harassment, threats, spam, scraping at abusive volume, malware, or attempts to break or bypass security (including embedding malicious code in checkout embeds).
• No using the Services to plan or commit anything unlawful.

10. Suspension & termination

You can delete your account anytime. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, create risk for other members, or break the law — with automatic enforcement always subject to human review. Sections that by their nature should survive (content licenses for already-published copies, disclaimers, liability limits) survive termination.

11. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for member conduct, member sales, reliance on reference data, or indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to $100 or the amount you paid us in the past 12 months, whichever is greater. You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your sales, or your violation of these Terms. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limits, so parts of this may not apply to you.

12. Changes

We'll update these Terms as the Services grow (for example when traditional marketplace services launch). Material changes are announced on the site, and the version date above always tells you what you're reading. Continued use after a change means acceptance.

13. Governing law & contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Questions, appeals, and notices: info@plinkexchange.com.
