Cometa is a long-running Spanish airgun maker based in Eibar, with a 150-year manufacturing pedigree and a catalog spanning spring, gas-piston, and PCP rifles including the Fenix 400, Lynx, and Orion.
In our words
Cometa is a serious traditional springer brand from one of Spain's historic gun-making cities. The Fenix 400 in particular punches above its price as a mid-priced break-barrel, and the PCP line is a credible, if less-publicized, alternative to the bigger European names. U.S. support is reasonable through AirForce International and specialty dealers, but buyers should set expectations for slower parts than mainstream brands.
Support
- First contact
- U.S. dealer or AirForce International first, then factory in Eibar if needed.
- Summary
- Start with the U.S. dealer or AirForce International for warranty and parts; escalate to Cometa in Eibar only when the dealer path is exhausted.
- Warranty
- Warranty exists or is referenced, but terms should be verified by model and purchase channel.
- US availability
- U.S. distribution is limited and channel-dependent; AirForce International has historically imported Cometa, and specialty dealers carry select models. European retailers (Mundilar, Solware, Carbinstore) ship internationally.
- Owner prep
- Exact model and caliber; Spring vs gas-piston designation for Fenix variants; Serial number if present; Proof of purchase; Photos/video of issue; Stock condition (wood vs laminate); Trigger adjustment status; Chrono data with documented pellet

Real-world commentary
Cometa enjoys strong respect in the Spanish and UK airgun scenes for traditional break-barrel quality at moderate prices, and the Fenix 400 in particular is widely viewed as one of the better-value springers on the market. U.S. visibility is lower than European, so buyers should plan for slower parts and longer support cycles.
