Sheridan is the heritage U.S. brand of .20/5mm caliber multi-pump pneumatic rifles, originally made in Racine, Wisconsin from 1947 by Sheridan Products Inc., later produced under Benjamin/Crosman until the end of 2019.

In our words

Sheridan is one of the most distinctive American airgun names. The Blue Streak Model C is the rifle most buyers picture, and the .20/5mm caliber gives Sheridans a character no other U.S. multi-pump shares. Era matters a lot to value: pre-1977 Racine guns from the original Sheridan Products Inc. are the apex collector tier, Benjamin/Sheridan production from 1977 to 1991 sits a step below, and Crosman/Sheridan production from 1992 through end-of-2019 is the most common and most affordable. Listings should always identify the era, decode the serial number for date of manufacture, and disclose that .20 caliber pellets are now a constrained supply, mostly through H&N Sport, since Crosman discontinued factory production in mid-2021.

Real-world commentary

Sheridan is one of the most distinctive names in American airgun history. The Blue Streak is the Model C most people picture, and a clean Racine-made example with original box is a meaningful collector piece. The .20/5mm caliber was always a minority chambering, and the discontinuation of factory pellets in 2021 has effectively ended new production options — H&N Sport in Germany and a few specialty makers still produce 5mm pellets, but supply is constrained. The brand died slowly: end of new rifle production at the close of 2019, end of factory pellets in mid-2021. Pre-1977 Racine guns are the apex collector tier; 1977-1991 Benjamin/Sheridan guns sit a step below; post-1992 Crosman/Sheridan examples are the most common and most affordable.

Support

First contact
Specialty rebuilder for pre-1977 examples; Crosman for post-1992 production with serial-date verification.
Summary
Crosman (now Daisy) provides limited service for post-1992 examples, with parts and seal kits available from specialty rebuilders. Pre-1977 Racine-era guns rely entirely on third-party rebuilders such as JG Airguns, Mac1 Airguns, and Baker Airguns for seal work and parts.
Warranty
No transferable warranty on vintage examples. Pre-1977 Racine-made guns are pure used-market with rebuilder-dependent parts paths.
US availability
No active production under the Sheridan name as of end-of-2019; .20 caliber pellets discontinued in mid-2021. Examples trade entirely on the used and estate markets, with collector preference for pre-1977 Racine-made guns marked by the original Sheridan Products Inc.
