How do I safely degas a PCP?
Many PCPs include a degassing tool, port, or procedure that lets you bleed the reservoir to zero in a controlled way.
On a regulated gun, the safest method is usually to slowly loosen the regulator gauge or use the manufacturer's bleed screw to release pressure gradually, never all at once and never with the gun pointed at anyone. The slow alternative is to dry-fire the gun until it stops cycling. Always consult your owner's manual; never disassemble a pressurized PCP.
