Kazakhstan's Law on State Control of Turnover of Particular Types of Weapon distinguishes low-power pneumatic weapons from controlled weapons. Pneumatic weapons up to 7.5 J and up to 4.5 mm are not subject to registration and can be purchased without a special permit.
