Decree-Law No. 90 of 2025 (signed 28 July 2025; in force three months after publication in the Official Gazette, i.e. about November 2025) amends Decree-Law No. 13 of 1991, now titled 'on Weapons, Ammunition, Bladed Weapons and Dangerous Air Weapons'. 'Dangerous air weapons' are air rifles and air pistols of 6 mm calibre and above, plus others the Minister of Interior designates. Importing, displaying, selling or marketing them needs a licence (Art. 24 bis); the Minister sets the rules for holding them for sport (Art. 11).

Carrying or using a dangerous air weapon in a prohibited place (gatherings, public facilities, markets and malls, public transport, mosques, schools, and other places the Minister designates) without personal or professional necessity: up to 1 year prison and/or KD 500–1,000 fine (Art. 21 bis). Deliberately frightening someone with one in public: 1–2 years and/or KD 1,000–2,000 (Art. 22 bis). The weapon is confiscated.
