Are Airguns Legal in Uzbekistan?
Yes, but heavily regulated.
Legal in principle, but the compliance burden is high, often with firearm-grade steps for the airguns most people want. Watch the restricted access rule in particular.
Tier 2: Major Restrictions
Full firearms-licence regime for the airguns most enthusiasts would actually buy.

The rules in detail
Classification
Unclear
Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan 'On Weapons' expressly defines pneumatic weapons as weapons that launch a projectile by compressed, liquefied, or cured gaseous substance. The law regulates circulation, import, export, storage, carrying, and use of weapons.
Age rule
25+ / 30+
25+ for hunting weapons, including hunting airguns. 18+ for sporting weapons, including sporting airguns (Law 'On Weapons' ZRU-550, Art. 13). Only citizens can buy through this route; temporary foreign visitors need a Ministry of Internal Affairs permit.
Possession
Restricted access
Airguns are hunting or sporting civilian weapons (Art. 6). Buying one needs a three-month Ministry of Internal Affairs purchase permit, and the gun must be registered within 10 days (Art. 11). Sporting airguns over 3 J and over 4.5 mm may be stored and used only at sports facilities (Art. 9). Air pistols and airguns resembling automatic weapons cannot circulate as civilian weapons except at sports facilities. Hunting airguns over 65 J and over 9 mm need a hunters'-association recommendation and professional hunting status or 10 years of shotgun ownership. Limit of three hunting airguns per person.

Acquisition and circulation are permit/licensing controlled. Foreign citizens temporarily in Uzbekistan may acquire civil weapons only based on permits issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs upon diplomatic/consular request.
