Leapers started in 1992 from a garage in Michigan selling a single compact scope, and its UTG line became one of the few brands that explicitly engineers for the forward recoil spring and gas ram air rifles produce in addition to the rearward recoil every other scope is built for. The True Strength platform and its Beryllium Bronze turret springs exist specifically to survive that forward-then-back cycle, and Bug Buster models focus down to 3 yards, closer than most airgun ranges ever require.
