BLM-BLM-Managed qualifying recreational shooting range on federal land in Mesa County, CO. 750 acres. Firearm, Sport Shooting. Airguns are unrestricted on BLM public lands for recreational target shooting at qualifying sites. Safety features: Berms, Buffer Distances. HAZMAT issues, unmanaged; 1978 a 10-year R&PP Lease for a “public shooting range and recreation area” was issued to the Mesa County. A concrete vault toilet was installed at the location but due to vandalism, the structure was removed by BLM. 1988 BLM decision that Mesa County would relinquish the lease.The concrete pads, shade structures and target berms were left.
